Planning Lead Time by Calendar Days or Work Days?

Planning Lead Time by Calendar Days or Work Days?

Q - When planning lead time in Elliott's Item Master table, is it by calendar days or working days? If it is by calendar day, then how do you prevent the planning lead time from falling on weekends and holidays?

A - Elliott uses calendar days for planning. It will automatically move to the next working day if the planning day falls on a weekend or holiday.  To manage your calendar, you can go to Elliott Main Menu -> Util_Setup -> System File Maintenance -> Calendar file.  Elliott uses a default calendar and assumes weekends and major holidays are closed.  You can customize it for your specific situation.
