Is There a List of Laser Printers Supported by Elliott?

Q - We want to migrate our dot matrix printers to laser printers and use Elliott's laser form feature.  Is there a list of laser printers that are supported by Elliott?

A - In theory, all printers should work. On the other hand, please be aware that we don’t test printers to certify them with Elliott, and printer manufacturers do not test their printers with our ERP either. So we don’t know if there’s an issue with a particular printer model until our customers report an incident.

Based on our experience, HP laser printers work well. What we have seen in the past with printers like Brother are possible alignment problems due to a printer driver issue. In one instance, a Kyocera printer caused Windows to crash (blue screen of death). Our opinion is that the laser printer market is dominated by HP. Our experience shows HP laser printer drivers  are most reliable. If you go with the second tier of printer manufacturers, then it is more likely that you will experience a problem. They may test for Microsoft Office or other popular applications, but they won’t test against our ERP.  On the other hand, our requirements for the printer driver are stringent. With no financial interest involved, we recommend that you use HP laser printers.
