There are a vast number of features and functions in the Elliott Software that we let you Pick & Choose rather than install them by default. This way, you can select what best suits your needs and that which can improve your functionality and customer service.
The Util-Setup menu option in the Elliot Main Menu offers you a menu choice titled Global Setup. This menu choice, Global Setup, organizes the features and functions by sub-menus. These sub-menu setup options are listed below.
Keep in mind that Global Setup is a sensitive area and you don't want to allow ordinary users accessing it. Global Setup is usually restricted to “Admin” or Elliott “Czar” (CFO, Controller…etc. ) Letting each user accessing Global Setup, whatever the reason maybe, is not advisable.
These are applications used system wide, e.g., Notes, or applications that may cross and be functional in two or more modules, e.g., Landed Cost. Their setup and default values are defined in this manual (see System Global Setup). Their functionality and usage are as follows:
