My Users Are Not Able to Void COP Invoice After Elliott Update

Q - After installing the 7.56.802 update last night, my users in the billing department are blocked from the void invoice function. They said that until yesterday, they were still able to access this function in invoice printing. I thought I blocked them, but actually I did not. Does the new update change the security setup?

A - As for the void invoice issue, currently, users can void invoices through these two different areas:
  1. COP -> Processing -> Print Invoice -> Void
  2. COP -> Util-Setup -> Void Invoice
The (2) is password-security controllable.

The (1) is not password-security controllable. Once a user has access to the Print Invoice function, then you can’t stop them from voiding invoices. Some of our users do not like this and have suggested that we should not let a user perform a void function in (1) if they don’t have security for (2). So we changed this in update 7.56.802 and 8.16.802.

If you give those users access to (2), then they will be able to perform the void function in (1).
