How to Find Out If Elliott Supports a Particular Event

Q - Does Elliott support any of these event notifications in the respective areas?
Customer Order Processing
When pick tickets are printed
When packing lists are printed
When a shipment has been verified
When ship data update is used

Bill of Material & Production Work Orders
When a production order is printed
When a plus work order is tagged completed (not possible with material work orders)

Inventory Management
When a transfer ticket is printed
When a transfer ticket is posted

Purchase Order
When a specific part number is received


A - The best way to answer this question is for you to go to System Utilities -> System File Setup -> Report -> Master Event List. Choose “D” for “Report Type” and hit Enter to choose default for the rest of the fields. Below is a sample of this “Master Event List” and it shows that we do support pick ticket events.


It will be easier to do this research if you know the program task ID. How you find that out is a bigger subject which we won’t spend time to explain in this article. From the same report above, you can find the following answers:

COP
When pick tickets are printed – Yes (CP02P1)
When packing lists are printed – No
When a shipment has been verified - Yes (CPSHPVER)
When ship data update is used - Yes (CPSHPUPD)

BOMP
When a production order is printed - Yes (BM20P1 - legacy, BM20P2 – material , BM20P3 – plus)
When a plus work order is tagged completed (not possible with material work orders) – Yes/No (Please see a bunch of events related to BMWOPROD)

Inventory Management
When a transfer ticket is printed - No
When a transfer ticket is posted - No

Purchase Order
When a specific part number is received – Yes (PO2001 – when receiving trx is added, or PO2002 – when receiving trx is posted)
