Version: 7.x & Up
Q - Where does this Low Level Code (LLC) come from on "Summarized Bill of Material Report" or "Indented Bill of Material Report"? See sample screen below:
A - Low Level Code is not an entered field. Is is updated by the Bill of Material Processor application if that package is in use. This field indicates the lowest level where this item appears in any Bill of Material. For example, the item may appear at level 3 in one bill, and at level 4 in another. In this case, the Low-Level code would be 4. The finished goods will have a Low-Level code of 0, and components (or sub-assembly) will be from 1 to 11 (maximum value.)
Due to the dynamic nature or adding, changing, or removing of Bill of Material structure, this field in the Item Master record is not updated automatically. To update the Low-Level Code, you should go to Bill of Material Processor -> Processing -> Reset Low Level Codes. See sample screen below:
It will prompt you as follows:
Answer "Y" to proceed.
Alternatively, when you run Bill of Material Processor -> Processing -> Print Costed Bill of Materials, you can optionally reset the Low Level Codes. See sample screen below:
