Feature - Change Pre and Post Operation Comment

This feature allows the user to change the pre comment entered for an operation from Bill of Material Processor-> Inquiry-> Operator Inquiry or System Utilities-> System Files Setup-> Maintenance-> Operator File. This is enabled via System Utilities-> Global Setup-> Dist-> BOMP Global Control-> Screen 7-> Field 10. Allow Override Pre and Post-Comment.
10. Allow Override Pre and Post-Comment - Default is N. If set to Y, users will be able to edit pre and post comments Bill of Material Processor-> Inquiry-> Operator Inquiry or System Utilities-> System Files Setup-> Maintenance-> Operator File via the F3=Adv Opt option.
If set to Y, you will be prompted to Enter Pre/Post Comment Override Password. This is a required field. If a user other than the original operator on the operation attempts to change the pre/post comment on an operation, they will be prompted for this override password.
With this change, the Pre-Cmt and Post-Cmt literals are displayed whenever an operation has the "Prompt Pre Comment" or "Prompt Post Comment" set to Y(es) even if no value was entered for the comment.
To change the pre or post comment for a timeclock detail entry for a plus production work order, press the F3 key for the Adv Opt option. Choose the Change Pre/Post Comment option.
If a user other than the original operator on the operation attempts to change the pre/post comment on an operation, they will be prompted for an override password.
The pre and post comments can be edited from the popup window.
Pre Operation Comment: Defaults to the previously entered comment. Enter the pre operation comment.
Post Operation Comment: Defaults to the previously entered comment. Enter the pre operation comment.
The option is also available for special operations. Press the F3 key for the Adv Opt option. Choose the Change Pre/Post Comment option.
The same procedure applies for special operations. If a user other than the original operator on the operation attempts to change the pre/post comment on an operation, they will be prompted for an override password. The pre and post comments can be edited from the popup window.
Changing the pre and post comments from the timeclock screen will trigger several possible events.
The events are registered by launching:
- Bill of Material Processor-> Processing-> Work Order Production
- Bill of Material Processor-> Inquiry-> Operator Inquiry
- System Utilities-> System Files Setup-> Maintenance-> Operator File
