Feature - Add-On Item Drill Down From Item Search

When performing an item search, the user now has the ability to view add-on sales items when the F4 key is pressed. A new pop-up window will allow the user to select the Stock Status Inquiry, Item File Inquiry, and the Add-On Sales Item Inquiry if applicable. Selecting an item from the Add-On Sales Item window will return the item to the application where the F7/F8 item number search was invoked.

This new functionality is enabled through a new I/M Global Setup flag - Dist-> I/M Global Setup-> Screen 1-> field 18 - Allow Drill Down To Add-Ons From Item Search. The default value for this setting is No.


When performing an Item Search, notice the function key option F4=Detail. 



When the F4 key is pressed, the user is presented with a pop-up window that has up to three options - Stock Status Inquiry, Item File Inquiry and Add-On Sales Items. 



The first two options will always be available. The Add-On Sales Items option is only available if there are Add-On Sales Items on file for the item that was highlighted in the Item Search screen when the F4 key was pressed.

The following screen is shown if the Add-On Sales Items is chosen.



Pressing Enter on an item from this screen will return that item number to the calling program. For example, If MON-MIT-2 is selected from the screen above, it will be be returned as the selection from the item search. 



If the abort key is pressed from the Add-On Sales Item screen, the user is return to the Item Search screen and another item can be selected.
