Elliott V8.0 Report Viewer Received "Specified File Does Not Exist" Message
Q - We implemented the suggested NTFS security on Elliott V8 based on the following Knowledge Base article:
Now when a non-admin user prints reports to the screen, he/she receives the following error message:

Specified file does not exist:
K:\Elliott7\Reports\01\CP\2016\02\CP06P1.20160222.072642.CAILLIER.Open_Orders_By_Item_Reports..5.Tmp
A - This error occurs because the special permission for "CREATOR OWNER" is missing from the Reports folder. See sample screen below:
As a result, even though the user can write the temporary report files to the Reports folder, he/she does not have the right to view it, and thus the error message.
Just add the "CREATOR OWNER" special permission to the Reports folder by following the directions in the Knowledge Base article above, then this problem should go away.
