Print Plus Work Order Menu Option Is Missing
Q - When I go to BOMP -> Processing -> Print Production Work Order, I only see the option to print a Material or Legacy Work Order. The option to print a Plus Work Order is missing. See sample screen below:
On the other hand, if I go to BOMP -> Processing -> Production Work Order Entry, I can see the menu option for Plus Work Order. See sample screen below:
Why do I see the Plus Work Order option in one area, but not the other?
A - There are two areas that control whether you see the Plus Work Order menu option in the BOMP module:
(1) Global User Security
Go to Password Setup -> Global Security -> User Global Security, bring up your corresponding user security record, and go to screen 6. See sample screen blow:
If you have the flag "10. Allow User to Use BOMP WO+ in Processing Menu" set as "Y," then you will be able to use the Plus Work Order in the BOMP menu.
If you have this flag set as "N," you still may be able to use the Plus Work Order in the Production Work Order Entry menu subject to the following Global Setup flag.
(2) Global Setup
In Global Setup -> Dist -> BOMP Global Control, screen 4, see the following sample screen:
If you have flag "65. Allow WO+ in WO Entry for Non-WO+ Users?" set as "Y," then even if the Global Security flag "10. Allow User to Use BOMP WO+ in Processing Menu" is set to "N," you can still can access the Plus Work Order in the Production Work Order Entry area.
Based on your description, your global user security flag "Allow User to Use BOMP WO+ in Processing Menu" is set to "N." That is the reason why you don't see that option in "Print Production Work Order." On the other hand, if the BOMP Global Setup "Allow WO+ in WO Entry for Non-WO+ Users" is set to "Y," that is the reason why you see the Plus Work Order option in the Production Work Order Entry screen.
To resolve your security limitation, you should simply go to Global User Security and grant yourself the right to "Allow User to Use BOMP WO+ in Processing Menu."
