Q - We can login to track time by going to System Utilities -> Time Clock function. However, for the staff in shop floor, we prefer to let them login through BOMP -> Processing -> Work Order Production. In BOMP -> Maintenance -> Special Operation File Maintenance, I can see there's a special operation 9010 Logon. See sample screen below:
But when I go to the Work Order Production Screen, I can't choose operation 9010. See sample screen below:
Why is that?
A - We reserve the 9010 for the time clock operation in which there exists a machine in the front office when employees walk into the building.
At this moment, the employee is not actively working, but we have to
account for their time. We allow for this so employees can, for example, go
to the restroom or get a cup of coffee, without working on a work order operation.
If you want to let an operator use the Work Order Production to
start the day, then you can, for example, specify a user-definable special
operation (like 9502) and flag it as “Non-Production Activities” for “Morning
Punch In.” See the following examples:
Then at Work Order production, choose special operation 9502. See sample screen below:
This will effectively login the user and consider the user as being in a Non-Production mode. So the following is how it will show in the Time Clock screen:
