How to Copy All Export Processor's Templates from One Company to Another

Q -  How do I copy all my export processor's templates from one company to another (e.g., from company 03 to 08)? See sample screen below for all my templates:


A - In your example, you can copy the table SYMSEMTP.BTR from the DATA_03 to the DATA_08 folder.  SYMSEMTP.BTR stands for System Mass Email Templates. This table stores templates for both Mass Email and Export Processor, so this copying will override all templates for Mass Email and Export Processor from company 03 to company 08.

Please make sure that you don't have any users using Mass Email or Export Processor in both source and target companies when you perform this copying operation. It is always prudent to have a backup copy of this file before you override it.

Also, the Export Processor may reference attribute codes.  If your templates reference attribute codes, we assume the target company has the same attribute codes set up.  If that's not the case, you can either manually set up the missing attribute codes in the target company, or consider copying the following tables:
  • SYATRFIL.BTR - Attribute Codes Table
  • SYATRENH.BTR - Enhanced Attribute Codes Table
  • SYCDVALU.BTR - System Code Values Table (Support Enhanced Attribute if you use it)
