Feature - Override Cross Ship By State

This feature will allow the user to override the location cross ship restriction on a state-by-state basis. For example, if a user has east and west cost warehouse locations, it can be very expensive to ship inventory to zones far from the shipping location. However, ship-to locations that are located in the middle of the country could ship from either location. The cost would be the same.

A new field has been added to State File Maintenance to accommodate this new functionality - field 5. Cross Ship OK. 


  5. Cross Ship OK - Default is N. If set to Y, cross ship restrictions will be overridden for orders with this ship-to state.

The new field is supported on the State File Edit List.


When orders are entered, the location restriction is ignored for states with this flag set to Y.

Note: If using web services, an update to web services is required to use this functionality.
