Feature - Create Number of Shipping Labels Based on Customer Item Case Size

Feature - Create Number of Shipping Labels Based on Customer Item Case Size

Release Date: 12/8/22

Version: 8.5 and Above

When creating shipping labels, the system should first look at the customer item pack size and then default to the item file pack size to determine the number of labels to be created. If there's a shipment for twenty, with the item case size being four and customer case size set to ten, two labels should print instead of five.

The ability to use the case size is set  in Global Setup-> System-> Bar Code Printing Setup-> Field 8. Shipping Label Quantity Determine Method.

If  Shipping Label Quantity Determine Method is set to "S" for By Qty To Ship / Item User Amt, the field that is used to determine case size is set in Global Setup-> I/M Global Setup-> Dist-> Screen 2-> Field 2. Use Which Item Field For Quantity/Box?

If this field is set to C for CusItem/Item Case Size, several applications now honor this case size including shipping label printing and quantity warning messages in Order Entry and Sales Desk.
