Feature - Toggle Equal Sign Export in User Defined CSV Export Report

Release Date: 03/14/2025
Version: 8.5 & up

Added an F5 option to I/M, Report, Reorder Advice/User Def CSV, Print, User Defined CSV Export and field 7, "Item Has Attribute" to toggle the value of Export Equal Sign between Y, N, and blank.  Blank is the default, which will use the value in Global Setup, System, Company Specialized Control, and field 1, "Add Equal Sign to the CSV Export Fields Below?"

There are many ways to export data in Elliott to a CSV file.  Some fields, like item number and UPC, may begin with one or more zeros.  If the CSV file is opened in Excel, the leading zeros may be lost if the field is all numeric.  We added a Global Setup flag that would add an equal sign to the beginning of these fields so the leading zeros would be preserved.

The exported data would include the equal sign in the CSV for those fields.

Some programs that use the CSV file for an inventory feed do not allow the equal sign to be used.  We added an option to the User Defined CSV Export to allow the equal sign to be suppressed in the export.  In the report screen, the F5 key can be pressed on field 7 and this will display the status of the export of the equal sign.

You don't have to select an Attribute.  The export status will still be used.

By selecting N, the equal sign no longer appears in the CSV file.

If the status is blank, the default from Global Setup will be used.
