In BOMP → Inquiry → Single Level Where-Used Inquiry, a new column “Qty Ord” (Quantity Ordered) has been added to show the quantity on order for parent items in which a particular component is used.

This can give users a clue to drill down and review the ATP to see when the parent item is expected to arrive at the user’s warehouse.

In the sample screen below, for Item# 0 117 121 005M, a user may press F3 to drill down to the ATP of this parent item to see when the receipt is scheduled to arrive.

This feature can be useful for businesses where parent items can be easily disassembled. When a component is in shortage, this method provides a way to quickly identify parent items that are about to be received, allowing users to potentially use the components from those parent items to resolve an urgent shortage situation.

This inquiry can also be accessed from I/M → Inquiry → Stock Status Inquiry → F8 (Options) → Where Used Inquiry.
