Change - Price Recalculation When Quantity Changes

Change - Price Recalculation When Quantity Changes

Release Date - 6/25/18

A change was made to how prices are recalculated on the Order Line Item screen in Order Entry.

When you first enter a line item:
The system will calculate the proper unit price based on price codes on file. If the calculated unit price is accepted, the value will be saved in both LINE_ITM_UNIT_PRICE and LINE_ITM_PRICE_ORG fields when the user presses the Enter key at the Field Number prompt.

If the user changes the quantity ordered before pressing the Enter key at the Field Number prompt, the price will be recalculated using the new quantity ordered even if the user has previously overridden the price field.

Once the line is saved to the order:
- If the user chooses to override the LINE_ITM_UNIT_PRICE, the value in LINE_ITM_PRICE_ORG does not change. This will force the application to retain the manually entered price and the price will not be recalculated if the quantity ordered is changed.

- However, if the user did not manually change the price, changing the quantity ordered will force a recalculation of the unit price if the user accesses the price field. This recalculation is based upon the following setting: Global Setup-> COP-Fun-> Order Line Item Screen-> 17. Recalc Price/Comm When Cursor Thru In Change?

If this flag is set to Y, the price will be recalculated. If this is set to N, the price will remain the same.
