Can the Master Tracking Number on an Invoice be Included in the 810 Invoice Export?

Release Date: 9/21/2026
Version: 8 & Up

Q: Can the master tracking number on an invoice be included in the 810 invoice export?

A: Yes, the EDI Profile in the Customer record has a field specifically for this.  In Customer Maintenance or Customer Inquiry, bring up the customer.  Click on the Special Functions button at the top of the screen and select EDI Profile Maintenance or press Alt-E.  This will bring up the EDI Profile for the customer.

On the second screen of the profile, select field 10, Post EDI Invoice Without 810 Export, and select N.  This will bring up another window where you can select additional fields to export.

Currently, three additional fields can be selected: SCAC, Ship Via Description, and First Tracking Number.  Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight the field and then press Enter to select it.  This will place an asterisk next to the field to show it is selected.  Once you have selected all the fields desired, arrow back to the top and select No More to close the window.

There is space reserved at the end of the header record in the invoice data export for these three fields.  The SCAC is four characters, the Ship Via Description is 15 characters, and the First Tracking Number is 25 characters.  Selecting the tracking number means the tracking number will be required for each invoice.  The invoice will not export if the tracking number is missing.
