Q: Could you please tell me which utility programs should be running at specific intervals? 

A: You should run the Update Tax Codes, Update Use Codes, and Update Zip Tax Codes on a regular basis (monthly).  This will down load the table information from Avalara and update the Elliott tables. See Avalara Database Setup Utilities for more information.

The Update Tax Codes, Update Use Codes, and Update Zip Tax Codes utilities need to run after hours. All of the utilities can be deferred. It is recommended that these utilities are run on a monthly basis.

You should also periodically run the Avalara Integrity Check Report. This will verify that your data is setup correctly. This is important as new customers, customer ship-tos,  items, and ship via codes are added after the initial installation.  There are also several Report Desk reports that point out issues that may need to be addressed. These are available from the System Utilities-> Avalara/Vertex Integration-> Utilities-> Integrity Check menu option.

The Integrity Reports can be run anytime. They do not update any data within Elliott.
